I will be renewing my license soon. NCBTMB now requires that one has to attend classes physically. Any have any ideas which classes to attend as far as modalities that are in high demand these days? Although I been licensed two years I still have not found my niche. I would appreciate any input.
Hope to Chat with someone soon. Am I the first to post discussion? This is my first day on the site and I am still navigating my way around.
Everything I have read says to specialize in something. I specialize in deep tissue and NMT. Those are the CEU's I will be going after this renewal period. I live in Pinellas County so whatever I decide to do, I will have to travel some distance for. Good luck.

In the current economic environment it really pays to be able to be effective in injury treatment and pain relief. I recommend the Neuromuscular Therapy training by the NMT Center - their workshops are widely available in Florida. Excellent workshop value, very marketable massage skills. Check out the website: http://www.nmtcenter.com/
I agree that it just makes good business sense to specialize. But in addition to considering what is marketable (which is very smart by the way) you should also consider the types of massage and also the kinds of clients you most enjoy working with.
There are lots of questions in my free workbook (you can get it from the main page) to help give you some ideas as to a niche you would enjoy. If you haven't gone through it already you might want to.
